Currently Loving #3

Well hello you lovely faces.

So, it has been a while since my last Currently Loving and I thought seen as it is the end of January then it was only fitting to share with you lovely lot what I am have been loving this month.

We have quite a bit so lets get stuck in shall we.

This month I am not quite sure what has happened to me, but I seemed to have picked up the TV habits of an old lady.

This month I feel like all I have watched is TLC. I just love that channel, my favourite shows at the moment are 4 Wives, 90 Day FiancĂ©, To Ugly for Love and then I turn over and watch Ice Road Truckers.

I know, I know ridiculous or what but I have become OBSESSED with watching them, they are all on series link at the moment. :)

Alongside all of that I am making sure that every week Andrew and I are tuning in to watch Tattoo Fixers and then most Wednesday you will find me glued to Netflix watching Pretty Little Liars!!!

This month I am loving Brogan Tate. I can not wait for 6pm on a Monday to watch her weekly vlogs. She is so beautiful and her new love interest has kept me intrigued and coming back for more every week to find out what is going on.

My Favourite You Tube video of the month definitely has to be 'Our Story' from the Michalaks. Such a beautiful story and video. I have watched it about 5 times. If you have 25 minutes go and watch this. It is just to beautiful.

There are so many things this month that I am L O V I N G beauty wise. For New Year, Andrew and I headed up to Edinburgh. While wandering down Princess Street my phone dinged to tell me that through Voucher Cloud, Body Shop had 40% of everything. Well didn't I take advantage of this. I picked up some Strawberry Shower Gel and oh my. The smell. The thing I love about this shower gel is that I can smell the strawberries after I have had a shower. I hate shower gels that have no smell or just a smell that disappears.

I also picked up some Vitamin E Eye Cream. Now I have never used an eye cream before in my life but in the last couple of months I have started to notice some dark circles under my eyes and well not wanting to look old before I am actually old eye cream has become apart of my daily routine. I love this cream and have already noticed a difference. It is thick, smells nice and soaks in so well it definitely makes my feel fresher even if I have not slept alot.

I love Benfit make up alot but I have never tried Rockateur. I have seen so many reviews and make up tutorials using this so when I got this little sample I. COULD. NOT. WAIT to try it. The thing I love about this is a little goes a long way also its the perfect shade for just a natural look. I love how it is simple but noticeable.

I got these brushes for christmas and OH MY. Why has it taken me so long to get these in my life. These brushes are so soft and amazing for helping to apply make up. I actually look forward to putting my make up on everyday because of these brushes.

So one of my main presents for Christmas was a Mylee Gel Nail UV Lamp. I love nail varnish and wear it EVERYDAY so when these came available I knew I needed to get my hands on one. I am loving so much that I can paint my nails and it stays put for at least 10 days. Amazing. Hopefully there will be a tutorial post coming soon.

Have you seen on instagram my brand new Leopard Print pom pom shoes. I AM IN LOVE. I love these shoes so much. I love that I can wear a simple oufit but these shoes instantly dress it up and make it look super cute. Just be caeful when around dogs as my mum tried to attack mine.

Another present I received for Christmas was a FitBit One. This has totally changed my life. I have become obsessed with how many steps I am doing and love seeing how many calories I am burning every day. If you are needing a kick up the bum in the fitness department then get yourself a FitBit. It definitely works.

When we took the Christmas decorations down this month the house felt so bare, so I replaced it all with fresh flowers. These flowers are also making me so excited for spring.

So there we have it, all the things I am currently loving this month. To check out my other Currently Loving check out the posts below.

Remember that time...

So yeah!
Remember that time I gave it the big one and said I was going to blog more.
I'm not doing well.
17 days since my last post.
What a joke Leeny.

I wish I could say it's because I've been busy, been on holiday or even I haven't had enough time to post but that would be lying.

I just haven't posted.
No reason why.

But tonight I've been planning and getting some ideas together and I can not wait to see what happens in the next few weeks.

But for now, here are a few pictures of what's been happening.

In the last few weeks we have celebrated the beautiful Sophie's 30th Birthday. We ate a lot of yummy food and celebrated.

I have loved just reading the bible, writing and drinking a lot of coffee. It's become one of my favourite things.

I also spent some time celebrating the beautiful Naomi! She turned 21 and we ate a lot of cake and chocolate fountain.

We celebrated 6 months of marriage!

Kids Club started back with a brand new series and it has been so good.

I've also enjoyed cooking! I've made so many yummy meals. This was a Chicken Balti. Yummy.

Somehow this happened to my engagement ring. No idea how. My heart is a little broken.

The last few weeks for me have been about just trying to adjust back to
normal life after two weeks off for Christmas.

It's amazing how fast you can get out of routine but how long it takes to get back into it. It's only in the last week I feel like I have properly got back into the swing of things.

So what have you been up to recently?

I am Good.

I love this bible verse so much.

You see right back in the beginning God created the earth, sea, land and all the animals inbetween. But he also created man and woman. When he looked at us he saw that we were good.

Good seems a funny word to use, I know personally I think that there is better words than good. But good in Gods eyes is different to ours.

When he looked at us he thought we were the best. He loved us. He designed us and made us and thought we were very good.

He thought we were good before we did anything, said anything and before we set out on doing good deeds. We were GOOD.

Today I am reminded more than ever that I don't need to prove myself to God he thought I was good before I did anything. I don't need to prove that I am good.

I am good enough for him.

To do in 2016!

Good Evening you lovely ones :)

So like I said in my last post in 2016 we are just 'winging it', when I say that I mean we have no BIG plans. Last year we did all the big things apart from have a baby. We planned a wedding, bought a house, moved out, got married, went on a once in a lifetime holiday and set up home. It was the most amazing year but it was a busy, full on and some times quite a stress. So this year we just want to enjoy being Mr and Mrs and enjoy our beautiful home and relax with out having to constantly be stressed about bank accounts, excel spreadsheets, mortgage meetings and all of that.

This year we just want to see what happens. We have no big things planned, I mean we have done it all really, there is no way we are moving in the next year or planning another wedding.

So for now we are just going to see where 2016 takes us.

With that being said there are some things personally that I want to do, improve in, get better at or even try. I don't want to say they are resolutions as well lets be honest I never keep to them, lets see them more as a to do list.

So follow me over the next 12 months as I slowly (probably really slowly) tick off all the things on my to do list.

1. Spend more time reading my bible.
I just want to spend more time with God, if listening to podcasts, worship music or reading Christian books.

2. Read a book.
From beginning to end. For fun. I am not a good reader so surely by the end of the year I can read 1 book.

3. Try something new!
I have an idea of what it could be but I am not sure if I am ready to commit and let you know just yet. Ekkkk, it makes me nervous thinking about it.

4. Make healthy choices.
I just want to eat good food and drink more water.

5. Exercise more. (boo)
I like to run, I always have so this year I want to start running again and try and enjoy it. Writing this now with that fitbit thing on my wrist telling me to 'Move It' the idea of running makes me want to curl up, hide and eat the massive box of chocolate that I have hid away.

6. Chill out on social media.
Being honest, FB, Twitter and Instagram are taking over my life in a bad way. There has been times recently where I have been doing something amazing and fun and I found myself wondering what was happening on FB. Any way I need to chill out with it. I am planning writing a whole post about this one as lets just say friends 'THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!'

7. Finish decorating the house.
We have decorated 3 rooms in our house but there is still so many things we want to do or I want to do. I mean I need to put all these pinterest ideas to use.

8. Sort out the little room.
So we have this room. Being truthful if you go in there you will never come out. We don't have a usable loft at the moment so anything that should be up there is in the room of doom. I wanted to sort this room out in the summer but no 6 months later I am still to do it and well, its got worse.

9. Go on holiday.
HOT or COLD I don't care. I just want to go on a jollyday.

10. Keep up with the blogging.
Blogging is so new to me but I am loving my own little space of the internet (even if it is only my mum and Andrew that read my posts) this year I just want to keep going and not give up on it.

So there we have it, my to do list for 2016!

What is on your to do list?

Highlights of 2015

So a BIG FAT blogmas fail :(
I was doing so well. Like so well, I only had 10 days left and well it all went to pot. For those who don't know in December I decided to take on the challenge of blogging every day from the 1st to the 25th. I only lasted 15 days, but still 15 is better that nothing, I am proud of myself for that.

Any way, enough of my failures. Happy New Year.

Over the last few days I have seen so many posts on social media where people are talking about how they can not wait for 2016 and 2015 can do one.

Now I am the complete opposite, I am so sad to be saying bye to 2015. 2015 was honestly my year. It was the best and there were so many highs. So today I wanted to share some of those with you.

So here we go. My highlight reel of 2015.

We started our year with an adventure. We spent the day dreaming and talking about all the things to come in 2015, needless to say all of our expectations were completely blown.

Back in January the serious wedding prep started. I spent my days organising excel spread sheets or writing in my spotty notebook. My room was covered in jars and there were flowers everywhere as we practised button holes and bouquets.

In February everything was confirmed and the buying of our new house was all going through, it meant that it was now time to start buying grown up things. I remember having this really surreal moment one day when we were looking at carpets that I was getting old.

We finally got the keys for our new home.

Thats when all the hard work of decorating and cleaning started. I loved it so much. This was going to be our home.

Amongst all of this there was ALOT of weddings. The more weddings we went to the more we got excited for ours.

6 weeks before we got married I headed to kids camp with 50 kids for 4 days of insane crazy fun. We had the best week, it was also a tad scary as there were so many things I kept saying 'oh I will do that after kids camp,' 'once kids camp is done I will think about that.' When Kids Camp was finished it was FULL steam ahead.

But before we got married I became the HEN. Andrew and I were treated and spoilt. He headed to Belgium to some festival and I had a day in York having afternoon tea with my bridesmaids followed by a meal with all of my favourite people. It was the best.

This all happened a week before the wedding.

Finally it was here.

This was honestly the most amazing day. I have been married nearly 6 months now and I have know idea where the time has gone. Everything about our day was perfect. I wish I could share more pictures but we will be here forever but I did do a post with some of my favourites so go and check it out here.

I then went on the most amazing holiday ever. I have never left Europe so the idea of going on a long haul flight for 10 hours blew my mind.

We had the most amazing week ever and it has totally given me the bug for travelling.

This year I also got my hair all cut off. From getting engaged I decided to grow my hair so after the wedding I went for it didn't I.

In October we decided that we would 'do up' the kitchen so spent what felt like forever priming, painting and making it all pretty. We are so chuffed with the final look. I blogged the whole process so check out what we did here.

Finally we finished off the year by having the most amazing Christmas and New Year. We had 4 full days with friends and family and then headed off to Edinburgh for Hogmanay to see Biffy Clyro.

This year has been the best.

So when it comes to 2016 we have no plans. Literally no plans and I can not wait for that.
The plan for 2016 is to just 'Wing It.'

So what has been the highlight of your year.
